آیا صلح، صلح کبوتر است؟
آیا پلنگ جنگ میافروزد؟
بر پرستوها چه آمد، که دیر آمدند مدرسه؟
آیا حقیقت است آنان پراکندند
نامههای روشن در پهنای آسمان؟

نرودا با آوردن کبوتر سفید، صلح را به شکل نمادین نشان میدهد؛
اما یادآور میشود: صلح فقط یک کبوتر سفید نیست.
زیباترین نمادها هم وقتی با عدالت و حقیقت پیوند نخورند، تهیاند.
در «باغ زمستان»، او پاسخ نمیدهد؛ پرسش میکند تا وجدان ما را بیدار کند.
وقتی میپرسد «آیا پلنگ جنگ میافروزد؟» یا از پرستوها سخن میگوید،
به ما یادآوری میکند که خشونت، تأخیرها، و نظمِ بههمخورده جهان،
مسئولیت ماست، نه طبیعت.
شعر نرودا نشان میدهد:
در جهانی زخمی، سؤال صادقانهتر از هر جواب است.
و من میپرسم:
گناه یک ایرانی چیست، که در ایران بدنیا آمده و
دین، مذهب، و طریق زندگی روزمره بر او تحمیل شده است؟
گناه یک ایرانی چیست، که زیر ظلم و استبداد ستمگران است؟
چه کسی، چه خدایی، اجازه ریختن خون یک معترض و گرفتن جان یک معترض را دارد
در کف خیابان، در حریم خانه، در مسجد و میخانه؟
و باز هم پرسش باقیست:
چرا عدالت تنها بر کاغذ نوشته میشود
و انسان هر روز باید شاهد خشونت باشد؟

Is peace the peace of a dove?
Does the leopard wage war?
What happened to the swallows, that they arrived late to school?
Is it true that they scattered
the bright letters across the sky?

Neruda presents peace with the image of a white dove,
but he reminds us: peace is not only a white dove.
Even the most beautiful symbols, when not tied to justice and truth, are empty.
In Winter Garden, he does not provide answers;
he asks questions to awaken our conscience.
When he asks “Does the leopard wage war?” or speaks of the swallows,
he reminds us that violence, delays, and the disorder of the world
are our responsibility, not nature’s.
Neruda’s poem shows:
in a wounded world, a sincere question is stronger than any answer.
And I ask:
What is the guilt of an Iranian, born in Iran,
whose religion, faith, and daily way of life have been imposed upon them?
What is the guilt of an Iranian, under the oppression and tyranny of rulers?
Who, what god,
has allowed the shedding of a protester’s blood and taking the life of a protester
in the streets, in their home,
in the mosque and the tavern?
And the question remains:
Why is justice only written on paper
while humans witness violence every day?

Neruda zeigt Frieden mit dem Bild einer weißen Taube,
aber er erinnert uns: Frieden ist nicht nur eine weiße Taube.
Selbst die schönsten Symbole sind leer,
wenn sie nicht mit Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit verbunden sind.
In Wintergarten gibt er keine Antworten;
er stellt Fragen, um unser Gewissen zu wecken.
Wenn er fragt: „Führt der Leopard Krieg?“
oder von den Schwalben spricht,
zeigt er uns, dass Gewalt, Verzögerungen und die Unordnung der Welt
unsere Verantwortung sind, nicht die der Natur.
Nerudas Gedicht zeigt:
In einer verletzten Welt ist eine ehrliche Frage stärker als jede Antwort.
Und ich frage:
Was ist die Schuld eines Iraners, der in Iran geboren wurde,
dessen Religion, Glaube und tägliche Lebensweise ihm auferlegt wurden?
Was ist die Schuld eines Iraners,
der unter Unterdrückung und Tyrannei der Herrscher lebt?
Wer, welcher Gott,
hat erlaubt, dass das Blut eines Demonstranten vergossen und sein Leben genommen wird
auf der Straße, in seinem Zuhause,
in der Moschee und im Wirtshaus?
Und die Frage bleibt:
Warum wird Gerechtigkeit nur auf Papier geschrieben,
während Menschen jeden Tag Gewalt miterleben?

Neruda présente la paix avec l’image d’une colombe blanche,
mais il nous rappelle : la paix n’est pas seulement une colombe blanche.
Même les plus beaux symboles, s’ils ne sont pas liés à la justice et à la vérité, sont vides.
Dans Jardin d’hiver, il ne donne pas de réponses ;
il pose des questions pour éveiller notre conscience.
Quand il demande « Le léopard fait-il la guerre ? » ou parle des hirondelles,
il nous rappelle que la violence, les retards et le désordre du monde
sont notre responsabilité, pas celle de la nature.
Le poème de Neruda montre :
dans un monde blessé, une question sincère est plus forte que toute réponse.
Et je demande :
Quel est le péché d’un Iranien, né en Iran,
dont la religion, la foi et le mode de vie quotidien lui ont été imposés ?
Quel est le péché d’un Iranien, sous l’oppression et la tyrannie des dirigeants ?
Qui, quel dieu,
a permis que le sang d’un manifestant soit versé et que sa vie soit prise
dans la rue, chez lui,
dans la mosquée et dans la taverne ?
Et la question demeure :
Pourquoi la justice n’est-elle écrite que sur le papier,
alors que les humains sont témoins de la violence chaque jour ?
